Flooding has over a decade became the major challenge facing the country where plastic rubbers, bag, and others choked in various gutters which forced Government to spend huge amount of monies in fixing it but proved furtile.
Flooding has also destroyed many lives including properties due to the attitude of some Ghanaians choking the gutters with plastic bottles and, bags, satchets, which needs immediate attention.
For that reason, a non Governmental organization (NGO) called Let Ghana Foundation has launched a project called “lcycler” to recycle used plastic bottles, bags and rubbers into useful items.
The lcycler project under Let Ghana Foundation has trained thousands in Accra and Kumasi respectfully on how to use plastic bottles, bags and rubbers for balloon decorations, pencil cases, hand bags, slippers and others.
Speaking with the media, the Director of Let Ghana Foundation Mrs. Anastasia Akoful during the training of over 400 school children in Surestart Green Montessori School at Amasaman last Thursday said , the motive behind the lcycler project is to train many Ghanaians in recycling used plastic bottles and others into money .

She noted that, if Government focus on recycling and support the foundation , and if the NGO would be able to train 10 million Ghanaians in recycling , it will drastically reduce the rampant flooding situations in the country.
Mrs. Akoful however called on the Government to focus and support Let Ghana Foundation in order to help curb the rampant flooding situations which has destroyed lives and properties in Ghana.
